Condo Living: 3 Sneaky Decorating Ideas for a Magical Merry Christmas (Plus, photo inspirations!)
Christmas is near! For us Filipinos, one big thing it means is… Christmas shopping.
In the Philippines, it is customary to get our homes Christmas-ready as early as November (For non-Filipinos who are reading this right now, yes, this is how we roll!).
For us, Christmas is the most joyful holiday of the year because it is when families and friends gather to catch up (no excuses!), munch on amazing food, and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
With that said, we love to prepare our homes the best way we can and show off our interior decorating skills with a secret mission to wow our guests.
However, if you are living in an apartment or condo that is a little short on space, you might find decorating quite challenging.
Don’t fret! We listed some ways that you can use to make your small space a Christmas wonderland this December.
- Create a wall Christmas tree
If the traditional, free-standing Christmas tree simply won’t fit, a fun way to recreate one is to have a hanging apartment Christmas tree. You can actually buy a pre-made or build yourself one. Usually, these trees come pre-lit so all you have to do is to hang them and plug them in.

- Decorative Christmas pillows
Do you have a nice seating space that you can decorate with pillows? Whether it’s your couch or dining chairs, you can find plenty of Christmas-themed pillows at department and thrift stores during the holidays. For the sofa, depending on how big is yours, it’s good to have at least three with different designs to give your home an instant holiday flair.

We love ribbons! You can make wonders with these. They are cheap, come in different designs, some in lovely, textured fabrics, and they can go a long way with some imagination.

If you have a limited budget for home decors, you can always go DIY (or Do-It-Yourself). Most of the photo inspirations shown above are homemade so we’re sure you can make those too.
Don’t be afraid to go out of the box and try new designs. Pick one or two from the photo inspirations above and think how you can make them better, and even add a little more personality in them.
Just make sure to prepare the right materials ahead of time, invite some friends over, and do this while you catch up with your favorite TV series.
That’s it folks! We at PhilPropertyExpert.com wish you advanced Merry Christmas and a Happy New year. Tune in for more holiday decorating tips!
