Can we terminate our listing agreement earlier than the initial term?

Q: Can our listing contract with you be terminated if we see no progress in like, 6 months or am I signing a non-ending service agreement or until sale of the property?

A: It will be for a minimum of 1 year, but it can be terminated earlier by either party for [reasonable grounds].

As to the “progress”, we might also have to qualify that, as the lack of desired results (usually inquiries, viewings, offers to buy) can sometimes be attributed to the offer price, flexibility of the payment terms, and other factors that are at the exclusive discretion of the owner/seller.
